I still love my PS4, but I just use it for PSVR, Planetside, and Wipeout. Playstation exclusives, especially the weeb shit, are pretty fucking 5/10 and only worth buying on a deep sale. Even Nier is trash in comparison to W101 and not worth bothering with. I do plan to buy Horizon and Farpoint on a good sale. I prefer my Xbox tho.

Lost Odyssey is an almost unfair comparison. It was one of the last legitimately good JRPGs to be released and was genuinely fun. It had it's flaws, to be sure, but some of the writing was top notch. Jansen in particular, while a womanizing, bumbling drunk is so well acted that part of me wonders if he just ad-libbed every single line he spoke. The main story is decidedly weak, however, and the party splitting, while not as horrible as FFXIII was hell when forced to play as Lil and Dil.

I've heard some compliments from the more casual people I know. I'd say it's similar to most AAA games where in an age of 100 dollar season pass games with eventual GOTY versions with extra content for another 60 getting one for 15 or so feels pretty okay. I mean, I grabbed the last two AC games, Dragon Age Inquisition and D44M for around 60 or so total and apart from D44M that was with all the trimmings. I'd even say i've had "fun" with them, but paying that kind of money for four big budget games makes them so much more palatable when they're frankly kind of weak. D44M is fine, I guess. Not great.

One area where MS really does piss all over Sony is the OS design on their consoles. After using Xbox and getting a PS4, the latter feels so limited in comparison. The guide on Xbox makes things so much easier than having to switch back to the home screen to do anything on the PS4, and things like friends list and achievements are managed so much better on the Xbox, plus it has some nice features. The PS4 OS feels really bare bones in comparison.

Came here to post essentially the same thing. I just got the gold PS4 after owning an xbone for a while and I have to say that the UI on it is potato compared to Xbone's. I can't stand having to back out to the home screen just to accept a friend request or message somebody. I've tried a friend's PS4 which was an improvement over the PS3 ergonomically, but the analog sticks peal off and I didn't like the touch pad.
I've went through PS1, PS2, and PS3 all very similar feel.
Only recently bought an Xbone controller for PC and it is miles ahead in comfort.
The dpad is really nice firm and clicky, the shoulder buttons are miles better. Only issue I have with it is the weight, its a bit on the heavy side.
Dual shock controllers feel cramped in comparison. Need a while to get used to the Dpad being under the analog stick.

The ps4 exclusives are not as special as people make them out to be. Most of so y's modern games are generic as fuck, movie memes and are forgettable. The modern Japanese games are nothing worth bragging about compared to 6th gen days.

Yeah but the problem is not that it doesn't look realistic but that the shell shading isn't very good. People don't complain about the shell shading in telltale games because it is competently done while crackdown 3 seems to have different kinds of shell shading as if they couldn't make up their mind on how they wanted the game to look.
