Because SFV rides on the name of Street Fighter and the FGC are the biggest capcbros on the planet. SFV is universally hated yet people still shovel in the shit (for the pros at least) because that's where the money is.

Yes, SFV sales are in the trash and the abysmal launch along with word of mouth pretty much killed it on release

Matter of opinion, but I personally do not think it is. There are some neat ideas hidden in SFV but it's surrounded by trash.

I dunno man. It has record evo entrants and only a few pros are whining about it. Word of mouth is subjective and the sales aren't great, but I don't think I would call them "in the trash".
