>GamesRadar: For those who may not know your level of involvement in the Mega Man series, could you give us a quick breakdown of your contributions to the franchise (other than inventing it, of course)?
>Keiji Inafune: I designed pretty much every thing for Mega Man 1, such as the characters, pixel graphics, box art, and promotional illustration. From the second installment, I began getting involved in game production. My involvement in the franchise production has become deeper with each subsequent installment, and eventually, I started to manage development as well as promotions and marketing. For Mega Man X, I designed the characters, environments, and storyline, and from the latter half of the series, my main responsibilities have shifted over to producer duties. I was involved as mainly a producer in Mega Man Dash, Mega Man EXE, Mega Man Star Force, Mega Man Zero, and Mega Man ZX. This time in Mega Man 9 too, I am mainly acting as the producer.

>I drew pictures of other peoples design, and i bossed other people around that actually created the games and how it functions.
Truly, the father of Megaman.

I want to be charitable to Inafune, but this really does mark him as an out and out bald faced liar. Maybe something is lost in translation (for a guy who does so many appearances and interviews in America, it's a shock he never bothered to learn English).
>(other than inventing it, of course)?
Here he's being outright asked if he created the series. This is the perfect time to offer a correction.
> I designed pretty much every thing for Mega Man 1,
Inafune joined the team later into development, and this was after the main cast had been designed. I know Kitamura designed Roll and Rock. Not sure about the Robot Masters, Light or Wily. Elec Man was designed by Inafune.
>pixel graphics,
Inafune, with the other members of the art team, did in fact do work on the pixel art. They did animations, enemies, etc.
>box art, and promotional illustration.
Inafune did in fact do this.
>From the second installment, I began getting involved in game production.
I've never seen any reference to this, and Inafune does not go into details. According to Inafune, for MM3, he helped planning when the director, Masayoshi Kurokawa left. But we only have Inafune's word, and the guy is a snake in the grass who lies, and spins to make himself more important.
