All other main characters in Persona have a set weapon for themselves. I don't disagree that it's quite silly to remove previously availble content, but giving the main characters a main weapon akin to everyone else in the series was fitting enough. (They could still have gone the Aigis way of switching their actual elements with different types of the same weapon, mind you.)

Because the dungeons crawling gets tedious after a while, and it was good to have the breaks between them. Also S Links directly affected how good your fusions were, and as a result they're ass in The Answer

Best way to go about it is play FES first. Then if you ever feel like another playthrough, go P3P.

P3P is refreshing cause you can choose the female route which has a couple of different Social Links to freshen up your gaming experience.
