You have to grow to like the characters to give a shit about any of their inane dialogue and conversations. If you do, great, you got a good SoL game on your hands with combat segments in between. If not, then it's just boring stuff mostly.

No. The first Neptunia is awful in terms of gameplay. The games after it could be argued to be servicable, but the first? Not at all.

Play the Rebirth games and Mega VII. Megadimension VII is the closest the series has gotten to be good mechanically but even that's arguable.

If you want to play the whole series go Rebirth 1, 2, 3 then Mega VII.

Original Nep was bad gameplay wise but it was the funniest one, and the most VA'd one in english too.

The gameplay is the weakest aspect of the game, the story is pretty decent/funny though.

The gameplay is mostly bad due to how easy it is and how it feels like a light version of other games in it's game aspect.

Recently bought another PS3 and I'm sorely tempted to give this another try despite knowing how bad it is.

Been playing since Summer sale ended. Here's a few things
>Too many characters, most of which I feel are really really useless, main 4 are the only worthwhile
>Dungeons are all the same, and very very short so you'll have to grind.
