Man, guys, I just want to rant a bit.

I love MMOs. I love grinding. I tend to like older-school stuff. I've played plenty of korean games.

But BDO is the first game I've ever refunded. Just a huge pile of wasted potential. Great graphics ruined by terrible lighting, pop-in, and the ugliest UI known to man. You simply cannot turn enough of it off. Cool combat in concept with the combos, ruined by being absolutely brain dead and unnecessary.

And of course, the worst part of all: "hurrr the game doesn't start until level cap"
That shit is the pox that killed MMOs

Sorry for sperging, I know this isn't my blog. Just had to get it off my chest. Dont' know how anyone could like that game.

The main thing you want to look for to get player interaction to matter is for there to be no holy trinity. That way people actually have to think about how to use each other's abilities to deal with shit instead of having it already done for them.
