I don't have any friends and my ego/sense of confidence has been utterly demolished over the years, so I do what I can to get approval from strangers by doing well in multiplayer. I'm absolute shit at Overwatch (can't aim, get my ass kicked 1v1, etc), but I'm great at Mercy and have spent 100+ hours as her on quickplay exclusively so I could get commendations/praise from my teammates. If they fuck/don't commend me, I tell them off then leave the match. I also used LMAOBox for years in TF2 on a separate account to make people think I was great at the game. Any time i turned it off I got my ass kicked
