I played the first one when I was like 10, really enjoyed it, became a fan of the series and played every game until DDD.

Everything. The concept of Final Fantasy and Disney is weird but it works so well. I know people will jump in and say it's not even about that anymore, but you can still very much see influences from both all the time. The action is unique and over the top in every way they demonstrate it, and I have always liked high fantasy things like that.

The gameplay for the second game is my favorite. There is simply no other feel like it in any other game that exists. I like how easy it is to play the way you want to and still succeed. There is always a ton of options to choose from. And I like to challenge myself as someone who really likes the series so I do level 1 playthroughs. They are not easy at all, and I'm driven to do them because it's the ultimate challenge placed in the (main)games. The lesser games I'm still a fan of. They are fun to progress through, at least for the first time, and to experiment with the decks to see which commands you like. To me the series is just pure fun and surprises me every time.

As much as I enjoyed the previous games in my youth, it's hard to willingly trap myself into another RPG loop. They've tacked on too much extraneous bullshit onto a story that managed to stay somewhat "mysterious" through the first couple games. The cloaked figures were intriguing, and the desire to find Riki and Kairi was immense. Now it's just bullshit like "oh he has a heartless form and a nobody form" or "there's a new keyblade wielder" or "let's just introduce another couple dozen characters instead of having any decent character development", and the entire fact that it's going to extend even further past KH3 makes it even more bullshit. When companies beat a dead horse like this as much as they do, they kill the magic. Anything they shit out comes out way too contrived and unenjoyable in the sense that you can't help but feel like a fool for becoming emotionally attached to some fading company's attempt to make some more money.

It's the same shit with that new Zelda game. It's overly contrived crap.

You're the same as me. I like KH Cloud and Squall too. I've known them first from KH too so. I already watched Frozen and Tangled and Big Hero 6, and some others just because I know they will be in KH. Watching BH6 felt awesome though knowing the sequel to it will be in KH.

If they don't show footage of that "new world" i just give up. What the fuck were they doing all these years, even if we assume that the had to almost restart with UE4, it has still been 3 years since then and all we really saw is one fleshed out world, a few cutscenes and combat mechanics and UI that are far from finished yet

I thought KH Re:coded would tell me what happens between KH1 and Kh2.
