So, what are your thoughts about Master Mode, /v/?

I have some complaints, and was just curious if anyone else had ran into the same thing and if they did, how they kind of ...got past it?

Enemies are more difficult, but the loot they drop is trash (compared to how much damage they do) and chests they protect still have basic weapons in them.

Camps used to be fun for me to take out, because I knew there was a chance of some nice loot that I could use. Now it's just an area to break all your weapons, and be rewarded with another weapon that's worse than probably what you had.

Also, the better loot is typically in chests on floating platforms that are super easy to get to and grab, so it makes fighting camps pointless since there's not XP in the game, so no reason to kill things unless you absolutely have to.

I love the concept of things being bumped up a level and the health regen. I just don't understand why the better loot isn't in the chests that were already there, rather than on those wonky floating platforms. Especially since you /have/ to start a new file to play Master Mode, so it's not like you could have missed any loot.

What are your thoughts?
