Can we all agree that Nintendo would be literally unstoppable if they still valued graphics?

They do value graphics; their style doesn't need more detail and its enough for what they are making.
No, it's better that they value performance over graphics for most games.
>>383711791
Nintendo games often look better than the "MUH TECHNICAL GRAFIX" realistic games of the competition.
>>383711915
>they value performance
is that why they made a new 3DS that has 4x the power of the original and all modern 3DS games run like absolute dogshit on the original?
Sega did that.
Look at how well their console division is doing today.
>>383711791
don't give them any ideas OP
>>383711984
>all modern 3DS games run like absolute dogshit on the original?
that's only true for 3 games.
>>383712091
they dug their own grave by greenlighting shit consoles in a crowded market and then pulling them off store shelves after only a few years
you know, like nintendo is doing now
>>383712192
difference is nintendo has the money to waste
>>383712192
>like Nintendo is doing now
Wii U was in production for years and the 3DS is like the old dog that they won't take out back and kill already
>>383712429
3DS is also the ONLY console making nintendo any money in 2017.
They would be stupid to kill off their only income stream.
>>383711791
Yeah, I can't wait to BING BING WAHOOO in 4K!
>>383712547
pretty sure Switch is making a lot of money too, even the Wii U managed to be mostly profitable.
>>383711791
I know this is a bait thread in the same vain to sale threads but
Nintendo already has the right mindset which is framerate
>>383712635
I've never even seen a switch on store shelves in real life, they're creating shortages on purpose to keep people thirsty for the holiday market, but why would anyone take the bait, there's NOTHING to play but splatoon2 and it's basically the same gimped 3rd person shooter as before.
back in the days the N64 was more powerful than a windows PC that could run anything by iD software
we don't live in that era. if Sony can't order or moneyhat a graphical card that way more powerful than a $1000 PC, so can't Nintendo.
>>383711791
It would help, but it's just one of many of their problems. They still need more 3rd party support and less gimmicks.
Still, I wish they didn't just settle on gamecube graphics. Graphics are close to plateauing, the jump from PS3 to PS4 wasn't as major and I can't imagine the jump to PS5 being much differnt either. If nintendo would've just kept up with the competion a little longer it would be acceptable if they didn't focus on graphics as much.

>I've never even seen a switch on store shelves in real life
because they keep selling out, they can't keep up with demand
