Then Link kills thousands of innocents and beats up Ganon, and takes Zelda back just so that HE can go out with her... himself?

How is Link any better than Ganon then? Link isn't actually doing anything for the greater good, he is explicitly saving her to go out with her and nothing else. So how is Link any better than Ganon... morally speaking?
