I heard that they're competing with Apple, who is using a lot of the same parts in their new iPhone though, so it's kind of hard to say based on that how well the Switch is doing. The numbers certainly paint a story of success. Pretty much every first party game so far has sold a fuckload.

Their last generation saw them not only release their worst selling console to date, but even their worst selling handheld. The Switch has failed to have the global appeal of the Wii (based on the sales figures, it's selling very mediocre in Europe/NA) and it's already stagnating.

Stock shortages or not, the NAND chip has been in hot demand since 2009, Nintendo should have seen this as a problem.

The fact that they're letting it eat into the launch hype that comes with every new console is a complete disaster
