I'm one of the biggest Inafune shitters out there, but hot damn does this not make me feel bad for the guy. His entire hopes, and dreams came crashing down, and /v/ came in and kicked him when he was down. He knew this was the end. He'd never be the CEO of nu-Capcom with a cash cow series. He wouldn't be the star of every convention being praised by the crowds. He was a has bbeen destined to make mobile trash forever.

/v/ Made him cry Like an anime fan on prom night.

He put himself put there, made himself a figurehead, and for years said thinvs that got under the skin of a lot of customers. He swung for the fences after pointing to the stands. I feel no pity for this man.
>>
What the fuck? He lied and constantly used the false title of "Father/Creator of Megaman" to make his kikestarted more known, and to get all those desperate MM fans who had just been left in the dust by Capcom. He, at no point, ever clarified to people that all he did was just draw pictures of Megaman, he just led people to believe that he physically created the actual games themselves.

Then as soon as he makes millions, he opens up ANOTHER kikstarter. Of course everyone finally snapped back into reality after seeing MN9 and all regretted it.

He set himself up and he knew exactly what he was doing

>He lied

He never once lied.

>and constantly used the false title of "Father/Creator of Megaman" to make his kikestarted more known,

The media called him that. He did not.
>>
>critizie Japanese games stagnating and that the West was the best place for video games
>first game he makes is a completely dogshit Megaman rip off
>"It's better than nothing."

Inafune dug his own grave. Fuck him and his massive push for Western casualization at Capcom and fuck him now.
>>
>>383632473
OP please, this bait is stale.
>>
>>383632473
He didn't stop it or clarify. He let them do that, he went on interviews for articles, and not once did he bother to clear up the misunderstanding. He knew it was all free publicity and let it happen because he knew he would make more money that way.

Ben "Leave your company and make a kickstarter" Judd.

You just know he tried that line on Kamiya.
>>
>>383633295
Igarashi got baited too.
>>
I found out today Inafune designed Splash Woman and Plug Man. So he's not all bad. The more he got into "buinessman" territory, the less designs he did. But occasionally he did a few, like those.

He also didn't design Beck and only contributed one deisgn to MN9: Trinity.

>>383633272

>implying producer/artist roles are impressive.
>>
100th time /v/ does not know the function of a producer in game development.
>>
>>383633445

With Iga, he knew his time was done. Konami didn't want anymore 2D handheld games from him, and they were going with the Lords of Shadow route. He was bumped to mobile games division, and he saw he wasn't needed anymore.

Wit Inafune, it's rumored he didn't get along with the top of Capcom owners, who then forced him out.

Kamiya is safely in Platinum games, and slowly rising the corporate ladder.
>>
>>383633713
No what I mean. Ben Judd is the one that convinced Iga to go to the same route as Inafune.

>this man cost us DMC5 by Itsuno and pushed by Ninja Theory May Cry
>cried about how bad the Japanese industry was and went all westaboo
>make a direct copy of a Japanese game
Glad MN9 flopped at the end of the day.
>>
>>383630910
No sympathy. Everything bad that happened in his career is entirely his own making.

I want him to live a long, lonely, cold life, paralyzed in the realization of what he did.
>>
>>383634062
>I want him to live a long, lonely, cold life, paralyzed in the realization of what he did.

That seems incredibly petty.
>>
>>383634252
I don't care. Mega Man was my hero.
>>
Fuck him. His job was to take the money and turn it into a game. Not take the money and, turn 1/4 of it into a game and invest the rest into trying to start multiple franchises. Kamiya was wrong, he's not a good businessman.
>>
>>383634321
>I don't care. Mega Man was my hero.

And Inafune was a big part of that hero.
>>
>>383633272
>maybe if I copy and paste something really big and poorly formatted, they won't bother reading it and I'll be right!

Well, you tried.
>>
>>383634656
I am right, saying he had no creation of mega man is revisionism
>>
>>383634770

Right from Akira Kitamura's site:

>Product responsible for character design, proposal, planning, direction, setting, scenario.

>· Megaman

>· Megaman2 _ The Mystery of Dr. Wily

http://aknote.hatenablog.com/entry/gameplanning.002
>>
>>383634534
>>383634770

No he wasn't, because he didn't even even make the base design for what Megaman looked like

He drew pictures of him after someone else made him, and worked on other character designs.

Not a single one of the roles involved programming or coding of how the game plays or how the game functions.

>>
>>383632847
In the 2004 Megaman Anniversary Collection there's a developer documentary featuring Inafune where he clears up that misconception, though it is true when MN9 came around he did the whole sappy "I'm the creator" bullshit.

>In the 2004 Megaman Anniversary Collection there's a developer documentary featuring Inafune where he clears up that misconception,

He doesn't clarify jack shit in that. If anything, that's ground zero for the myth. The narrator says he's the series creator, Inafune talks about designing the character, and Inafune never once mentions anyone else's contributions. The special is focused around Inafune as the only relevant part of the series.
