Imagine if Mario never existed and all of a sudden a third-party developer released Mario Galaxy or Mario Galaxy 2. People would be all over it. You just have cognitive dissonance because you're overly familiar with the franchise by proxy of /v/. Heck it's not always a good thing. I think Metroid Prime 3 is incredibly underrated because it's a Nintendo game. If say Konami or Capcom had made it, it would be lauded as the best game of last-gen easily.

Some nintendo reviews are paid for sure, but I don't think they have any bad games.

I don't like how breath of the wild reviewers for example did not mention the dugeon count being 4, with the assets being similar with only different colors, and the bosses are all gannon, not to mention the awful final boss.

Its almost as if they were paid to only boast about how much fun it is to dick around in the open world meme and that was enough enjoyment to not even mention the games core dungeons and structure not being as good as earlier games in the series.

It's the autistic screeching fanbase, reviewers are scared to say negative shit about Nintendo unless the game is objectively bad.

From personal experience, Nintendo's games usually warrant their scores and the games that get less than great scores from them are usually shovel ware. They focus on gameplay while pretty much all western devs these days focus on cinematics, political statements (be they obvious or not), and edge.

It's not even "what is Nintendo doing right?" as to "why is everyone else doing it so wrong?"

Nintendo games are generally stellar. There have been some sub par but the only one to ever drop well below my expectations was Great of the Wild.
