OP, we are all angry about what happened to Monkey Ball, but there's nothing that can be done now.

Monkey Target 2 was the best minigame objectively speaking, and SMB2 was an amazing game objectively speaking.

In my opinion it gets very, very hard once you get to the washing machine levels, and that's a good thing by the way. They have a large chunk of easy levels, and a large chunk of difficult levels too.

Most older generation games fall under this, it's PS2/GC/Xbox era on when the roots of franchise deaths began and we had a lot of publishers forcing their devs to try and "adapt" to the new market set upon us by the concept of a blockbuster game.

The closest equivalent game market shift was the transition to 3d worlds where once again, publishers pushed their devs into the pool to force them to learn to swim and a lot just drowned.
