I don't really see why any critics would be offended by the video, even the few he mentions by name. He's really not talking shit about anybody, just pointing out (obvious) flaws in the system.

That one critic talked about the many flaws in a game, but ultimately gave it a high score. I guess it's a bit embarrassing to have that pointed out, but the video also goes into why the system works that way. If that reviewer gave a Mario game a 6/10, surely his boss would change it. Hell, maybe that's what happened.

But what I think makes a game a timeless classic is really just being the entire package. Fun, looks good, great music, and really set up to be the kind of game you want to play over and over. That last thing was kinda vague, but it's what Megaman games and what Brave Fencer Musashi have that makes me want to pick up and replay them every so often in one sitting
