How do you prevent yourself from getting on the slippery slope of cheating and dropping the game?
Specifically for old games with a lot of grinding that can be skipped by cheating.

>even considering cheating just because you're bad

Just close your eyes nigga

Just fucking cheat. I bought some shit indie games in the Steam sale that are almost good but just have problems or were not balanced properly because made by one fag. Almost refunded but instead grabbed a trainer and now I can actually finish the games and get some enjoyment from them.
>There are people here who simply cannot beat SNES games without abusing save states
I play them on the original hardware and I don't own a game genie.

By not being a faggot and actually playing the games.
When people ask if you've beaten a game, what do you tell them?
Grinding is the opposite of good game design, so don't feel any compunctions for skipping it.
Unless you're playing FOR the grinding, in which case, godspeed you mad bastard.

Have fun literally wasting your time not having fun.
Old games are more enjoyable with minor adjustments that cut out the boring.

>There are people here who play snes games

I pity you
If a game is too hard then too bad, play sinething easier. Nothing's wrong with being bad at some games.
Been noticing a trend that all the OPs who post weebshit are usually the absolute worst at video games. What the fuck are you even doing with all that NEET time that you can't get good at a fucking game without cheating?

People who fail at life tend to fail at video games aswell.

Because it still have to this day the best game library with the PS1

Most old games have less grinding, therefore less impetus to cheat for you, compared to modern games which sometimes consist of 90% grinding and where cheats are now microtransactions.

a pity that the author is only capable of writing interesting characters and interactions, but royally shits the bed when it comes to story, even worse when it needs to make sense.
