How is this not complaining that the game is hard and calling artificial difficulty? Do people want a game like Mario where you just press B to win? I don't get the complaints. The game is hard, why is that a bad thing?
if you do a quick search, you will see that the people complaining are the same that call crash the new dark souls, millennials thar bough the game for "le epic nostalgia game look I'm old xD".
Is it actually harder than the originals though? I've played the originals to death but haven't played these yet

Not OP but yes and no. No to just beat the games (QOL improvements in all three, Crash 1 the most), yes because getting the relics in 1 and 2 to get them to 102% is harder then the originals in in some ways.

Eh, full completion is a different beast, if people are complaining about 'controls' despite the remakes actually being an improvement over the originals, then obviously this complaining about difficulty is just not justified.

Theres still the problem with that 1 bridge map, I took me about 20 lives to finish but I watched some streamer be stuck in it for an hour or something. In the original you can jump further by strafing back and forth but here you're stuck doing perfect jumps or getting fucked.

Literally the only levels in the original that had some depth perception issues were Temple Ruins and Jaws of Darkness and that's only with the platforms that move up and down and are placed in front of you.

The depth perception issue IS artificial difficulty, because it's a real issue that you should design your game around. You can make the platforming hard, but still fair in that regard.
For the record, I recently re-played and finished all three original Crash Bandicoot games.
