Should I be turning my PS4 Pro off between sessions? I've never turned it off. I'm worried about corrupted data after power outages.
OF COURSE
no one can be this retarded

Just leave it in rest mode, anon. Jesus...
You'll be fine
I had my OG PS4 go out on me many times because of all these AC's we have on
Never got corrupted
If you turn it off the fans wont be able to blow out the hot air from your gaming session and your console will overheat so it's best to leave it on

It was a problem when Bloodborne launched. Players who left it on for longer than 12 hours would suffer memory leaks (or whatever it was) and AI in the game would act up, such as bosses using weird movesets making the fight easier.
I'm pretty sure it's been fixed after 2 years but you should google it up nonetheless.
Pretty sure if you had actually done this, it would have melted by now. PS4s get hot.

Make sure you turn it off and unplug it else you get cockroaches living in it.
rest mode is the way to go.
Realistically the odds of facing data corruption from an immediate turnoff are astronomically low. Unless you're unlucky enough to have lost power or something while it's in the middle of a particularly beefy saving/write to the hdd, you'll be fine, the message that shows up is just a warning, something they have to have put up every time otherwise people will try to sue for "WELL I WAS NEVER TOLD SHUTTING IT OFF IMMEDIATELY WAS A BAD IDEA" because people are fuckin stupid.
but I mean, if you just keep it in rest mode and it goes off in that, almost 0% chance. So small that it's not worth worrying about. my 1200, slim, and pro all go out at least once a month, and have since I got each, and they're all doing just fine.

by "leaving it on" I mean in rest mode*
My ps4 pro has been on streaming vue for 5 months straight now, no problems yet.

all rest mode does is supply the bare minimum power so its RAM doesn't discharge and empty itself. It's literally just sleep mode on your computer

Just sayin', it did cause problems back in the day. A friend of mine experienced it himself, we were playing the game at the same time on chat and he kept bragging about 1-shotting boss fights, while I struggled. I'm pretty sure if you search for "bloodeborne memory leak" circa early 2015 you'll find people saying the same and probably an article or two about it.
