What's /v/'s opinion on this game? Its one of my favorites

It's the best post-Naughty Dog era game with a fuck ton of cut content.

It's one of the best written Crash games in terms of humor, but you can legit see the seams of how patchwork the game is. It's so unfinished it's funny

Characters come and go with little to no purpose in the plot, cutscenes sometimes go from great animation to stock shit and don't even have sound effects half the time, everything to do with Cortex's old villain school is padding and they got a cameo of fucking Spyro for no other purpose than to write some characters out of the plot

But goddamn is the game charming

I liked it but, to be perfectly honest, I couldn't help but feel like something was 'off' while I was playing it, it had this sort of 'uncanny' feeling to me all the way through

I enjoyed it and thought it was ok. In terms of platforming I enjoyed WoC more but the overall product was better, especially visually. The cut content sucks but the worse part about it is how unstable it makes the code which in terms makes the game glitchy with lots of opportunities for it to lock up. Music is mostly annoying but there are a few songs that I enjoy like Aku Aku and the Walrus Chase as well as >>383530001

Universal, they also rushed the original trilogy + CTR, and the only reason those games were good was because OG Naughty Dog tried their damnedest to get the games functioning.

I'm not exactly sure, I never followed the game when it was in development and I played the game much after release, maybe 2009

Well, a good chunk of Vicarious Visions is made up of ex-Traveller Tales developers and one of them dropped by Gaf I know, I know... saying they are still very fond of the game and want to give it the N Sane Trilogy treatment adding all the cut content back to it.

It was fun. If the early Crash trilogy was oldschool Looney Tunes/ Tex Avery humor, Twinsanity was 90's Ren and Stimpy era humor. Then Titans was like bad late 2000's Cartoon Network era humor.

It's pretty clear that they wanted this to be a loveletter towards the crash series though, and you do get a good feeling from that. As someone else put it, it's chances are the best released Alpha game to date.
At least it had a better fate then Blasto did anyway.

Playing through the game gathering all the gems, it was sad to see all the potential content that we never got to see in game. The artstyle was great though in those concept pieces. It was pretty distinct.

It's a beautiful mess. A lot of ambition and effort clearly shine through the many MANY gaping holes of the released game. Easily could've been the best of the whole series if they were given more time and money to finish it properly.

Twinsanity was a game that tried to do something different and wasn't overtly disgusting like the Radical games

While Wrath of Cortex tried to be Warped but with too many gimmicks to make it stand out and ruining all the shit that made Warped good

I remember having to watch a 30-minute show everytime i wanted to play the game due to the fucking load times. It was fun, but it sucked.

I feel Wrath gets too much of a bad wrap, but also deserves it at the same time. If that makes any sense. The straightforward platforming stages are still classic Crash fun, but the graphics can be quite ugly and there are some design flaws like how FUCKING SLOW Crash is when hanging from things.
