Well, the load times are bullshit since the original didn't have a load time longer than a second

And the graphics aren't amazing, they look placticky and lack style, but they serve their purpose as a contemporary remake.

I recently replayed all 3 of the originals on psp. 1 and 2 are still good but 3 is way too easy and has way too many gimmick levels.

Didn't pick up the remasters because I don't think I want to play this type of crash on anything other than a handheld device.

If 3 didn't have vehicle/underwater stages it would've been GOAT. Time trials and the powerups you use for them added a lot to the game.

I'm not really feeling a lot of the visual and audio changes. I was watching streams of the game to check how it looks and I don't really see a need to get it that much. I mean I guess the time trials could be cool but in general I prefer the original style. It's just weird because some areas look really good whereas others are pretty lame

I enjoyed the Jet Ski levels, but the bike ones were always a living hell for me
although I think that might be because of the directional buttons, instead of analogue stick the last time I played it in 2011

One or two (not including bosses) stages like those would be fine. I wouldn't want them completely omitted. I like the offbeat levels like the Hog levels in 1 and the Jetpack levels in 2.

One of the redeeming factors of Wrath of Cortex were having stages that had both platforming and the vehicle stuff. More stuff like that I would not mind.

Pill shaped hitboxes are a standard hitbox used when I MAKE GAEM because it visually fits models better, and retards pretend that's supposed to make the hitbox more accurate. It's fucking unity tutorial tier.

This was in a time when they were just beginning to figure out 3D games. They literally didn't know what would be the best way to do one and they referred to their game as "Sonic's ass" because you were looking at the character from behind. In the end they settled with this style. Meanwhile Super Mario 64 did that big open levels and tons of movement options thing and it was quite revolutionary at the time. Nowadays I think Crash holds up better as a simple platformer though, but Mario had a big impact at the time

I'm talking about advancements in the genre. Crash wasn't obligated to be an open world platformer like Mario 64, and it wasn't created to be in competition to Mario 64. It just so happens that they both showed up at the same E3. Crash was directly influenced by the likes of Sonic but now you can progress inward, outward, toward left, toward right, ascend, descend. Crash 2 and 3 never aged badly. It's smooth as butter in movement and tech, with analog controls included.
