I was a bit relieved to hear this didn't get very far back in the day. Now that I'm a little more desperate, I don't think I'd mind something experimental like this. I would prefer if they made a new Mega Man for it instead of trying to reboot X into it though.

some of the ideas seemed weird, but overall, first person shooter in the vein of Metroid prime, even if it has a realistic redesign, isn't the worse that couldve happened. in fact, worse did happen. We got Xover and are getting that horrible new Action Man cartoon, with a game to go along with it.

Truly, these are dark times.

i always thought the starcraft universe was interesting enough to warrant a singleplayer game to go along with the RTS games.
and Nova, Raynor and the others are solid characters that people like.

I honestly don't think any of the Mega Man games that got canceled at that time were looking very good at all. I feel like we sort of dodged a bullet where we'd be wondering what the fuck is wrong with Mega Man when it's suddenly only getting a lot of subpar and shitty games with nothing redeemable going on with it.

The only thing close to genuine loss we suffered was Legends 3, but even that was hardly off the ground and its development was going to be handled similarly to Mighty No 9, so hindsight makes me wonder if that would have gone to shit too.
