They haven't created shit. All they do is buy pre-made "off the shelf" models, animations, etc. and use a free poser to render them. They are prerendered images that take hours to do each, obviously it's going to look better than something that has to render 60 times a second. The well of those pre-made models is pretty much tapped dry, you are starting to see the same characters over and over again in these games.

Most of the people who use Daz are lazy to pick different models. They're even sliders/morphs they could use to change the bod and faces.

Because they often create something designed to look good from a few specific angles, whereas an AAA developer has to account for all of them.
Because when you get to decide your own deadlines and goals, pouring every moment of your time into perfecting a perfectly fuckable character isn't that difficult to do.
Because patreon artists are often working in the context of making something purely fuckable, whereass most AAA go for realism and the general philosophy that "flawed = more realistic"
