TF2 lets you just fuck around and have fun. you don't have to GROUP UP GUYS CMON GROUP UP, people don't scream about counters or their ult cooldowns or whatever, you just play and you can work together or do your own thing. overwatch is too much of a team game, ironically.

I don't. This meta sucks the most arse for tank players. I can't fathom who comes up with those shitty decisions and pushes them to the live version. Almost every fucking match I have a Window and Hanzo in my team, even on Attack. I know it's QP, but shit's still frustrating. LET'S JUST PUSH OUT MORE NEW, MORE POWERFUL CHARACTERS WITHOUT EVER PROPERLY FIXING THE OLD ONES.

It's taken way too seriously and there isn't enough ways to mess around in it. Plus a ton of the player base doesn't know how to play the game.

I just think Overwatch has terrible boring maps and the time to kill is way too short. I used to really prefer Paladins since it was better in those regards but they kept changing the game for the worse.

Even a dead game like HotS is getting more frequent balance updates, characters, and even maps. This meta is great for tank mains. D.Va/Zarya main, sub Winston. No one asks me to swap to Rein anymore.
Community is really strange though. Sometimes in late season 3 and 4 people were throwing when I picked D.Va because she is "nerfed and shit now". But suddenly picking her is meta and welcome now, and DM is OP, even though nothing was changed after that nerf and matrix buff.

Played it for almost a year, then stopped, because a gigantic problem has started to appear that I feared from the start:

The Blizzard Balance ™

Blizzard cannot balance ANY of their games properly, and this has started to affect Overwatch too in a way that just completely ruins the fun in the game.

>They design a hero that is based around 1 shotting annoying flankers, then nerf him to the ground because people on reddit were upset about being killed
>They design an entire class based around Defense, but refuse to change them for more then a year, leaving them in the dumpster (especially Junkrat and Torb)
>They still cannot fix glaringly obvious bugs after a year, like how Genji can just keep his entire ultimate if you kill him right after he uses it, while every other character just goes to 0% immediately
>They still did not fix Hanzo's scatter arrow, which was intended to clear enemies around corners, but instead can be used to 1-shot 400 HP tanks
>and a million other things

It's just painful to play a game where proper changes to a character takes months, or more than a YEAR to happen. And this comes from someone who was at 4200 SR in last season.

Serious lack of content mixed with my favorite hero's not being viable. You can only play quick play so much before the inefficiency and terrible teammates wear on you and you can only play comp so long as heros you don't really enjoy playing.

I just want a mode where people are at least somewhat competent like in comp but my favorite heros are viable.

The current dive meta has done a lot to discourage me from playing Overwatch. It was already hard enough to find people to play tanks alongside the fact that virtually no one likes playing healers, now it's even tougher because having at least three DPS characters in a team setup is the norm. To compound the issue, no one fucking knows how to play as the tanks that do excel in dive comps (ie. Winston).

The community also blows. Shippingfags combined with players who refuse to work together in a competitive playlist in a team game gets old quickly.

Overwatch, the game itself, is okay. The people who play it are fucking terrible along with its shitty match making.

I never remember online games being so bad before the rise of ASSFAGGOTS and Blizzshit. I don't recall counter-strike, TF2, any team arena shooter, Battlefield (older ones anything before 3), and so on being so awful to play when your team mates were acting like retard.

You would lose a round but whatever, you were top of the scoreboard and everyone knew you were carrying them. You play some more rounds and at some point, people leave, the server scrambles teams, or people switch teams to balance the game out themselves. However, with shitty ASSFAGGOTS and overwatch, you keep getting jerked around with a huge pool of retards who refuse to learn, pay attention, or even try.

High-level play of this game is extremely boring and unsatisfying. You spend a lot of time just randomly shooting at the enemy team's direction to farm ult and hoping to get a pick so your team can push.
Playing more than half the cast is simply playing handicapped. Sure you can win with bastion or torb if you are good enough, but you always dread when someone on your team picks it.
Map design is shit, just pure shit. They care more about aesthetics than actual balance.

I get that it can be, but in practice aim is 80% of what matters, for solo play or even for 2-3 man groups, I can't speak for larger groups.
I'm sure that in master/grandmaster, you actually have to think about things and teamplay is a must, but up until then everyone who has made it that high, has climbed through the lower tiers through sheer force of aim.
It's depressing to realize that I'll never be as mechanically skilled as someone who can practice and play for 10 hours a day, and trying to climb to even diamond using the "smart" way results in getting dicked on by your teammates that will inevitably start arguing and throwing games sooner or later and throw you out of any winstreaks.
Aim is everything up until like 3500-4000 SR, prove a plat shitter wrong.

I have a friend that's played for probably well over 100 hours, and only plays Reinhardt and Mercy; he literally hadn't played over half the cast. It got to a point where he was asking me such retarded questions for someone who's almost level 200 ("why does D.va sometimes get her mech back instantly??") that I forced him to at least try every character fucking once.

I have no idea how people can play a videogame like this. The first thing I did in the open beta was try out almost all of the characters.
