I can barely get through a normal mission without falling through the world or getting caught in level geometry. Hell, sometimes I spawn in for a mission and immediately fall through the world until I have to quit out.

If there is anything I can expect about these changes is that they'll be poorly implemented, unfinished, and buggy as hell for years to come because it's still a "beta". I want to love Warframe, but even after this many years content is just outright broken. Add to it the grindy nature and lack of content (other than grinding for min-maxed frames) and I doubt this will do much. It's interesting, but I don't have high hopes.

As someone who played it for a long time, this is definitely a misconception that new players can't understand. It's a very big flaw with the entry part of the game. You get a new game, you want to binge it, and this mechanic makes it so you can't - it turns a lot of people off from the game.
You need to be constantly making new weapons - your foundry should be packed with weapons being made so that when you log in, you have several level 0 weapons to level up and play with. Before you log out, you queue up more weapons to be made. You're constantly cycling through weapons and new players don't get this directive, they don't understand it. It sucks and it's never fully explained.

They were fucking with us for spamming "Warbros #1" by permabanning people for saying it even once and further fucked with us by devising entire events around things that could be conceived as difficult specifically for warbros (events that require 100% clan activity, when over half the clan was a goddamn mausoleum). I believe this is what helped spawn Warbros Prime. And once we showed we were still going to be #1, they fucked with us further, directly this time, by straight up altering the scores. They removed "exploiter" scores from our team (unusually high scores arbitrarily deemed "impossible") and left an entire clan that admitted to exploiting the entire event, until people voiced their outrage over the situation.

So what did DE do, once people expressed upset over the scoring? Well, obviously they banned the entire clan of Russians that informed them of the "exploit" (which was only possible because of shoddy DE coding). How gracious of DE to ban the same people that sought to help them plug yet another hole in their game! This is why I say "Fuck DE". Banning our members wrongfully and arbitrarily wasn't enough. They had to fuck with how the event was scored and ban entire clans just to make a statement? Fuck them. Sincerely.

warframe kept adding so much new equip but it was always worse to actually use compared to current

Is it welcoming to new players at all? And how decent is it for people who just want to play solo?

it hasnt been for a long time now.
also now we have this thing called riven mods.
they are purple and can ad all kinds of redicolous stats to weapons like extra crit chans along with crit damage, overall damage and multishot all on the same mod.
they can also be negative though like for example you get an extra 160% critchance but 200% less crit damage. things like that.
riven modes are the essence of power creep and rng however they made every single weapon however shit it is endgame viable.
theres also a system called riven disposition. whereas collectively used weapons are graded.
weapons used by many people will not be able to roll as good mods as weapons that no one uses. so it incetives you to actually use canonically shitty weapons since you can get better stats on them more easily.

The crafting times are okay and I like them because it makes it feel like you've got that thing you worked for and can take a break. Not too fond of the 3 day timers though. My biggest issue is grinding for stuff like relics to unlock frames. You have to know stupid shit like the drop chance on a specific rotation on a specific mode on a specific planet with it having like a 10% chance for that relic you need to drop. Really tedious and stupid.

give it a try. you can solo pretty much every type of content except for raids depending on which warframe you have.
youll inadvertently have to play with people though but matchmaking is automated and you never actually have to talk to anyone.
the best tip i can give you is use the starting 50 plat for 2(4 in total one gives 2 slots) weapon slots and 1 warframe slot and then just go for the weapons and frames you think you enjoy. and once you leveld your mk1 staring weapons ditch those in favor of beater weapons.

dont worry you can reroll the stats on them. it gets progressively more expensive to reroll but the resource used to reroll is easily aquired and caps out at a certain point so it doenst get too expensive.
and after rerolling you can decide wether to keep the old stats or go for the new stats.
aquiring a riven mod for a shitty weapon that you personally like is also really easy since most junk riven mods are sold by player for like 10-20p each so you dont actually have to farm them if you dont want to.

not really. Wall running is gone, Upgrading mods is now done through a currency instead of using multiples of same mod. It def looks better than it used to. Beyond that nothing has changed.

It's fun when you treat it more like a toy box game than a serious competitive one or something. You basically grind for whatever item you want to get, master weapons/frames, and play around with them until you get bored. The missions are pretty fun but once you get to that grinding point, you'll start running into the repetitiveness. If you're not a min-maxer type or a collectathon type of guy, it'll probably only be fun to you until you aren't woo'd by the parkour anymore.

The PvP is fun but kind of neglected and laggy a lot of the time.
