It depends on platform.
Don't bother with PC, Xbone is doing okay, and PS4 has the most players. PS4 is obviously the best option for this game.

Look up some gameplay and avoid the doomsday parroting or the blatant shilling and form your own opinion. I honestly like the game but can recognize it has a good deal of flaws (which they've been tackling albeit in a strange fashion). It's seriously unique and gives a huge fighting game vibe which is something I just don't see much of anymore outside of Tekken 7.

The game is really fucking good. Ignore anybody saying a match takes forever, they're shitposting. Different modes become popular depending on time of day and daily challenges. Connection issues are there but they're more likely to occur depending on number of players and your own internet quality. The dlc characters are trash not because of being op, but because they go against the core of the gameplay. So avoid them if you can or if you lose against them, realize they're not the norm.

So many people were shilling For Honor before its release, and will you look at that, its completely dead and ubisoft is moving on.

If you'd like an honest answer, then yes. Get it cheap. It has a unique fighting system and is a lot of fun. Stick to the duels and the 2v2 modes as they are the more skill based modes (where as the others have gear score bs and OP abilities). You can still find a game easily, everyone telling you otherwise obviously hasn't played the game and just accepted the meme that it's dead. P2P matchmaking in it sucks when people decide to ragewuit. Fast characters feel a bit unbalanced and hard to counter, but it's not impossible. For what you want out of it, it succeeds

Thats not true, I play ps4 and Im not even gonna lie, the game was an absolute mess, the developers never once fixed anything.

For honor was pretty worth when it launched, the only problems that surfaced were connection issues and unbalanced characters. And I mean it was fine at the time but slowly as nothing was implemented to fix any of this shit. slowly the community fell into shit. Now that Im gonna have to agree with the fact thats its lost a massive amount of players on both console/pc. its not worth getting you're basically giving them money for a game they dont care about anymore. I'd avoid it and pick up tekken 7 or streetfighter 5 OR injustice 2 which I wish I had :/
