Well /v/, my deathadder is starting to double click now so i need a new mouse. Recommend me an affordable gaming mouse that's not shit like this one.
>>
corsair harpoon
>>
>gaming mouse
Any mouse will do, anon. It's not like you will be better by having an expensive mouse.
>>
>>383435660
All you need to do is replace the microswitch. It's not like the entire mouse is fucked when one high-use inexpensive component starts to go.

Logitech g502
My first ever "gamer" mouse and my favorite mouse I've ever had. Something about how heavy it is gives me a fucking boner and hate everything else that's not as heavy.
Looks like it's about out of stock right now but it only ran me about 60 bucks and it did not disappoint.
>>
My G9x started doing that after like 8 years. I recently bought the G502 and it's just as good.
>>383436249
I don't think 5 buttons is considered a gaming mouse
>>
>>383435660
I'm using that exact mouse right now. Huh.
>>
maybe take better care of it next time

Have this g400s for 5 years now no defects
>>
>>383436420
is it comfortable for long periods of use?
>>
>>383436249
No, but you do usually get more buttons on gaming mice. I don't think I ever want to browse 4chan again, much less nearly anything on the internet, without having a profile with one of my thumb buttons bound to F5.
>>
>>383436420
I'm considering getting this as a sidegrade to my deathadder 2013. I'm afraid it'll be too bulky and heavy though.
>>
>>383435660
A new deathadder. I've had mine for nearly a decade before it finally started having problems.
>>
>>383436652

I'd say so yeah.
For me personally it fits the size of my hand just right and had a soft rubber plating for where your thumb sits.
It just has a slopped design that's almost like a puzzle piece for your right hand.
>>383436730
It has removable weights so you can tailor that to your preferences. Personally I have them all in at once.
The website has the specific measurements of the weights and such.

happened to me too. that and the side button not working on the other razer mouse, the trigger not working on the overpriced gamepad.

Can't say much personally, but I just bought the Corsair Strife which will be my first mechanical keyboard.
I got mine with blue switches for 80 bucks and from what I was reading it looked like it was going to be the best bang for my buck.
I'd say stop by the mechanical keyboard general in /g/ for more information and recommendations for your price range.
Remember though "gaming" brand anything are gonna just jack up the price, that and considering if the keyboard has led lights in them or not will really make a difference in price so keep that in mind.

logitech g403 for me
right handed only though
any logitech g400 or g500 series sensors are so crisp and sensitive
but it also depends on what games you are playing as well, assfaggots require a different mouse than mmoerpg and shooters as well
>>
>>383437462
Don't know what to tell you, my k70 is one of the old solo red color ones from before they put out he RGB model. I had heard that the quality went down some for the newer models, so that sucks.
>>
build quality has nosedived over the 5 years, especially logitech products. best thing you can do is take a soldering class over a weekend and learn the basics, then when the time comes you just buy a pair of omron switches for 8 bucks and you can install them yourself instead of paying 60+ for a new mouse.
>>
>>383437594
I have a G700s. It is great for changing profiles and DPI's on the fly. Comparing yours to mine on amazon shows the 700s is cheaper. But then again, the USB cable mine came with has a "dead spot" where at a certain angle of mouse/cord there is no input... but that is like 1 degree of 360 of 360...
>>
>>383435660
I recently replaced my old deathadder with a zowie ec1a, which is pretty much a perfect match in terms of size/grip/weight.
>>
>>383435660
Original Zowies, any of the steelseries Rival series, a daedalus if you have tiny hands
>>
>>383437594
G403 is great, but there's realistically a 50% chance the one you get will be defective, the QC is trash.

They don't properly fasten the sensor or the mouse wheel.

The sensor has little plastic posts that go through the bottom of the sensor chip and are glued on the top. They use a shitty adhesive to secure it on the opposite end that breaks off frequently after assembly.

The mouse wheel has poorly made brackets, and the wheel itself also has a high factory tolerance for faults.

Maybe the new wireless charging version has corrected some of this, but I have a feeling they are just re-fitted returned G403s

I love the mouse itself, but the quality control is the worst I've seen in a mouse, let alone one from Logitech.

G502 is 40 bucks on amazon atm, doesn't get much better than that

been using this $10 amazon mouse, and I fucking love it.

I'm super spergy about new equipment buys, and I also go for low price/good quality. I didn't want a super faggy cyborg "gaymer" mouse, but wanted something ergonomic and sleek with a few extra buttons.

I don't do much "hardcore" gaming anymore, just vanilla wow and music production. Perfect for my needs and a huge upgrade over my old shitboy mouse.
>>
>>383441227

Anyone have a recommendation for an mmo mouse? The Naga died shortly and the g600 tends to double click.
>>
The g403 is essentially a g502 with less buttons but also much lower weight.

For fps gaming you really want less momentum with your mouse movement, therefore lighter mice are usually a lot better.

The g502 is good for overall gaming and the extra buttons are nice for mobas and mmos, but it's generally considered too for fps games heavy by professional players.

Razer if you want an inferior sensor, 8ms of artificially added click delay to prevent debounce clicks due to poor manufacturing tolerances, inferior Chinese switches, etc.

BenQ if you want a REALLY inferior sensor (last-gen, PMW3310 compared to PMW3360 for Razer and PMW3366 for Logitech) and heavy OEM mouse bodies

Logitech if you want the best sensor in existence, the lightest non-custom bodies in existence, top of the line Japanese Omron switches, and a spread of many mice with different shapes and features and weights.

I use a G Pro, it's basically feather-light (83 grams) and very small, good for flicks.

I've had my dragon age 2 edition deathadder for 5 years now. Still going strong.
>>
As mentioned earlier, just replace the switch. Get a cheap soldering iron and watch a few videos. The switches are through-hole soldered, so you just have to remove the old switches by flood-filling all of the contacts for the switch and then just let it fall out while holding it upside down, keeping the solder hot.

Buying new peripherals when only one small component breaks is Apple-tier retard shit.

Also, PROTIP: Use lead-based solder. It melts at lower temperatures and is not only easier to work with but provides you with far more reliable solder joints that flex instead of crack under duress.
>>
>>383437009
I have a Logitech G910 keyboard. Don't really have a say since it's my first "Gayming" keyboard.

I enjoy it so far and how the keys work (mechanical) It has extra keys for you to bind, nice stand for your phone, and media player controllers.

It takes a while to get use to because you might accidentally press the 'G' keys.
>>
remove the top left and top left mousefeet, cut a hole where the screw is beneath the deathadder stick, unscrew the 3 screws, take off the hood of the mouse, take off the plastic housing, unhook the wire, use a knife or very flat and very small screwdriver to take off the plastic housing of the microswitch (be careful not to make the white plastic thing fall out because its tiny, easily lost and a bit of a pain to get back into the slot), clean the copper, blow underneath the copper to get rid of dust (or use a can of compressed air ideally) reset the plastic microswitch housing, reattach the wire, snap the plastic housing back onto the mouse frame, reattach the hood of the mouse, screw it all backtogether, glue the mousefeet back on

and done, i literally did this yesterday and my double right clicking is now fixed

this guide is absolute shit and clearly made by someone who is awful at fps games

the logitech mice are TRASH, their sensor is not 'perfect' by any stretch of the imagination, 'durable' LMAO the two mx518's i bought (buyers remorse to the maximum) both died within about 4-5 months and they have the worlds shortest cable for no fucking reason

if you want a decent gaming mouse your choice is basically any deathadder or any zowie, they have the best sensors on the market, shame that deathadders are incredibly cheaply made and you will probably have to fix one of its defects at some point

also get a decent mousepad, i use a puretrak talent and its the GOAT

I've been through two Death Adders and I've had the same issues with both of them. Clicks not registering, mouse wheel clicks not registering and the rubber grips falling off. I'm gonna make the switch to the Logitech G403 because it has a similar shape and the same sensor.
