there are a lot more people that know about FF12, or FF in general and will gladly pay 50 to play that game. thers a lot less people that know about yakuza and the lower price point attracts newcomers

There are actually a lot of changes if you compare the vanilla initial game of ff12 with the new remaster, arguably only small ones if you compare the IZJS to the remaster. However that other version of the game was not available to most people, which was already a huge improvement from the vanilla game, and you only need to look at the thread up now on the FF12 remaster to see that a lot of people don't even know the amount new shit because they haven't played the IZJS version

Also there is additional content and not just changes to the FF12 remaster

Basically, the future of the series in the west depends on it selling like 0 did, and sega NEEDS to get people invested in the series, so the game is cheap.

Square knows they can charge whatever they want for final fantasy.
