The only way you can have a truly 'focused' or 'consistent' review website, you'd have to have one single person reviewing every single game. Ignoring the fact that this is an impossible scenario, you'd STILL have that person disliking a game, or even putting out 'inconsistent' scores, because games are scored individually rather than against each other. People need to see that game reviews are literally just one person's take on the game, irregardless of the brand paying that person to play it.

I understand the resentment for e-celeb threads, but the fact that no other off topic shit receives this kind of treatment makes me feel like it's less of "its not vidya it doesn't belong here" and more "we want to be special by not allowing what might be considered normal".
E-celeb threads turn up like once a day and are usually self-contained. And depending on who is the subject and if no one is shitposting it to oblivion it can turn out okay.
