Who says that? Reviews are always just the opinion of some dude, their use is to get information about the game (I.e. "There are no traditional dungeons in the new Zelda game, instead small puzzle rooms are spread around the map"), which as long as that isn't distorted it's whatever. The other stuff is fluff (I.e. I like/dislike the puzzle rooms and the game is great/sucks).

I loved seeing the crash trilogy with modern graphics and adding time trials to the first two games is a great addition that offers hours of replayability, eagerly awaiting the spyro trilogy remake now

For a simple cartoony platformer with a fixed camera achieving only 30 fps should be considered as a failure. And yea sure. Devs intended to have those inconsistent physics to "make it look more fluid and better". But people have already complained about jumps and collision not being consistent but because it doesnt matter to your average consumer why would devs give a fuck.

That's not the message of the video and you are a dumdum if you think that.
You are better off finding a moderate amount of reviewers who have similar tastes as you and consider their opinions. This video is mainly about the review sites that got too big and the people who take them seriously.

look, you might argue "well the majority of people would hate these things" but that doesn't make them "objectively" bad.

i'm not a very smart person so i don't understand why i can easily see that but many people on 4chan can't. people also get mad when i point out that dictionaries don't necessarily list the true meaning of a word, and in fact dictionaries define terms based on how those terms are used. it is how a term is used that defines it. not a book.

There are examples.

FPS maps that are too small and/or have characters just running into the middle are objectively awful. Spawns have to have room and more than a few placements for proper map flow, spawning, etc. ("no bullshit").
