maybe you should just go back to 2004
>>383357987
if a 960m is all you need then why not? This does everything i want it to. I'm thinking of selling my desktop while people are still throwing way too much money at used AMD cards.
>>383360751
Time travel isn't allowed.
There is literlaly nothing wrong with mine.
>>383360751
>gaming on a tv
>>383361041
Yes there is. You're 1Mhz off from 799, on a Dell motherboard, on a locked CPU. What's worse is you're on Seagate and on Windows 10.
>>383361041
>locked processor
>no ssd
I fell for memes.
>>383361041
i'd love to put a low-latency display somewhere on my desk, but big tv screen is too damn good for immersion and having more than 1 display is a blasphemy (also a hassle)
also
>using Seagate as the only hard drive

i7 6700k @4.0ghz
32GB DDR4
Windows 10 64-bit

>>383361337
2400Mhz RAM is weak for Ryzen. Aim for 3000Mhz. It's only at high frequencies will you see any gain.
>>383361458
>having no brains to install software to capture the specs the standard way
replace the user
Not going to bother with a speccy shot, but it should be pretty clear what need some upgrades.

wew. 1060 is more up your speed, buddy.
>>383362305
you are retard
It's mostly just a shitpost machine. I use it to browse, watch movies/anime/etc. On rare occasions I'll boot up Steam or a emulator to play on it but I mostly play on PS4.
I said I was going to upgrade back in January but most of the people I know play on console anyway, so it'd be a waste of time. And it's not like any of you faggots would play with me anyway so it's whatever I guess.

but first decent rig in this thread, except for 3 monitors I guess but that's more of a taste thing
>>383361337
set RAM to 2933+ and you are golden
not that there is many games to use it for, just to have a headroom
Roast me senpai. Just got, monitor and storage in transit.

It's 1600 MHz because of Dual Channel. Also I just got the third monitor yesterday for free.

intel ssd suck should've got samsung like normal person
>>383362772
As someone who moved from i72600k to 1600x I can tell there is a difference.
Max povertier
I'd be upgrading my gpu by now but lmao crypto mining
>CPU too old and too hot
>RAM too little and not DDR5
>mobo can't even handle DDR5
>no SSD
I think that about covers it. I really want that SSD but that would entail installing Windows again, no? Other than creating a clone drive, which I would then have to delete off my old HDD, being a pain in the ass figuring out which parts are okay to delete. Sorry, I am not good at computer.
>>383362954
as someone moved from amd ii x3 450, i can tell it too, and as soon as i find anything processor-intensive, i'll trade off my cpu for something faster. Right now it does the silky smooth job
I bought this pre-built at the apex of the 970 hype, lay into me
>>383363146
believe it or not, it's alright
not modern, sure, but alright
>all these people wasting 0.5w everyday having optical drives plugged in
>>383363302
>all these poor people can't afford to keep their electronics on and plugged in at all times on the off chance that they might ever need them
>tfw this setup is not considered high-end at this point
>can no longer max out modern games and get smooth 60fps at 1080p
Probably will be forced to upgrade in the next 3 years or so
R5 1600 or 1600x? Is there enough of a performance difference to justify the price (more than it looks with the lack of a fan)?
>>383363659
theya re the same, difference comes from clocks
stock 1600x runs at 3.7 all cores, with micro boosts to 4.0
stock 1600 runs at 3.4 I think
you can easily OC 1600 with stock cooler to 3.7 or 3.8
depending how lucky your are it may even run at same temps and power as 1600x
otherwise slightly higher powerdraw
same core, same perf per clock
>>383362704
CPU temp is at 47C because I am running overclocked to 3.3Ghz which disables cool n quiet and my undervolt (0.984V) didn't apply correctly for some reason so it ran at stock voltage and it is also a really hot summer day
And I also had a bunch of stuff open in the background
>>383363659
R5 1600
Slower clockspeed, but you get a decent cooler with it and you can overclock it if you need the performance anyway
Unless you plan on getting an aftermarket cooler anyway and the 1600x is only slightly more expensive
i7 4790k for $130 back in 2015
Some Gigabyte Z97 mobo
2x 8GB DDR3 RAM that I got for free
Random 120 GB SanDisk SSD for boot drive
WD Black 1TB HDD for storage
XFX RX 480 4GB that I got for $120 earlier this year
I'm fine with it considering how much I paid for the system.
helpto be fair, I don't really play games on it,
aside from older ones
>>383362651
Oniichan!
My first and only computer, for the language you can predict i'm poor as fuck. All those games i can't play. Even when i manage to make some games run (either thanks to Wine or native ports), they run like crap or miss some features (like controller compatibility or some mods that need some Windows files to run). I fell for the "Macs have no virus meme" 7 years ago. Paid for this piece of shit during more than a year. Fuck that normie guy who introduce me to Macs. But honestly, Mac OS X is pretty comfy as an OS, i only miss Windows for the games, and the keyboard in this thing is nice.
>>383363427
only because it's a fucking i5
Ok
