SOTC is also a legendary game a lot of people heard of it

And damn that fucking remake looks amazing
Fuck the haters the game deserves modern graphics

Some 90s FPS games I guess. I "found" it because they were popular at the time.

Also
>Moorhuhn
>>
Chameleon, it's a stealth action game in the vein of Splinter Cell and Hitman. I found it on a shady Russian P2P site. Good game would recommend.
>>
>>383265107
i tried googling some of the bottom and second-bottom tier games and got nothing. do they even exist or are they just 4chan memes?

anyway, according to this, the most obscure games i've played are the last remnant

also, undertale is more obscure than half life definitely.

It had modern graphics at ita release. You dont need to keep changing shit to coincide with current technology. Then you just become George Lucas.

Graphics are 10 years old and the game gets updated every few months. Not a lot of games you can say you've stormed into the CEO's house and killed him.

Combat is mount&blade, games full loot and pve is complete shit. but after you finish your characer, (elderscrolls style-Morrowind- leveling system) pvp really doesn't get much more exhilarating.

Old text based games that you had to code yourself in MS BASIC that people would write and send in to old computer magazines back in the 80s and 90s.

Either that or text based online multiplayer games from the early days on the internet that were hosted on private servers that you had to dial up in Terminal in early versions of Windows.
>>
I started playing a couple text adventure games after I saw the movie Big with Tom Hanks where there's that minor plot point where he plays Colossal Cave Adventure throughout the movie as a kid and as an adult and I thought it was cool so I looked into it. The version he was using with the graphics interface is only available on some obscure computer from the 90's, so you can only play it on that or find an emulator, but I couldn't be bothered so I just played the regular text version.

Thanks for reading my blog.

Because taste is subjective. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Shared perception shapes our view on reality where as individual perception is but a delusion. Yet truth is stranger than fiction and people are more willing to believe a convenient lie than an inconvenient truth. Something along those lines.

Also out of that list I've also played CLASSIC GAME and &&, and am actually fortunate enough to consider the developers of both of those games friends. Played some other things on there too, but it's more than I can list in just one post.

>>
>>383274747
OP didn't make the list. It's something floating around the internet because of a thread some anons made some time ago. Saint really doesn't like that list. I think it's a good reference in terms of what to look into when it comes to interesting games to play. Needs Jinx Tengu games and Jack Spinoza games added up there though, along with SelfishDream, HORSE'S MUSIC-DOGS and 14ch Eternal Gomez games. Eventually Harney-Barrow games, but right now all he's got is RADIOQUEST, which is neat. I want to make some myself but I'm nervous about being creative sometimes because I had the unfortunate displeasure of being an artist in a house where creativity means you get laughed at and beat.

/v/ fucking wishes that's where they were on that chart
>>
I've been in the game industry for a little over a decade and managed to amass some oddities that would probably fit that chart. Of note I have an alpha version of Civ V on Steam with developer voiceovers, two unreleased mobile games from a studio that seems to have gone dark last year, an early Xenon (X360) development workstation that has various 360 dashboard UI demos and tiny interactive games and a multiplayer only disc of BioShock 2 that contains a dummy single player launcher.

Those are just the ones I own though, I've played a ton of unreleased games that will never see the light of day.
>>
i remember playing a game in which you're a cock (a male chicken) trying to impregnate female chicken but you have to watch out for dogs that kill you on sight
it's a sidescrolling game and i know there were condoms in it but i don't remember what purpose they served
besides that, i played most of the moorhuhn games, still have the racing one somewhere on my pc
btw, does anybody know what murder dog is?
>>
>>383265107
Either some custom BBS text-games or an even more autistic OMEGA (obscure roguelike) fork from the 80's.
>>
>>383275475
Original, clone or remake? If it was the original, congratulations. If it was the clone then I'm certain you're on a list somewhere and infected with a nasty RAT. If it was the remake, congratulations, I've played it too and can't make it past the second level. I'd say it's probably Gregor given the themes of child abuse and the presence of pedophile rapist Jimmy Saville in the game.
>>383275248
I honestly don't care. I've played video games 27 years now and I just play them because they're fun and they give me an escape that lets me cope with how powerless I truly am in this big wide world of ours.

Murder Dog IV: Trial of the Murder Dog is a criminal justice adventure game developed by thecatamites, same guy behind Goblet Grotto and Space Funeral, among many others. You're Murder Dog, who is on trial at the Hague for crimes against humanity, and you're representing yourself.

>>
>>383276084
i don't think that's the murder dog listed, the one on the picture says murder dog NES, so im assuming it's a NES game, probably a bit older, but i have played trial of the murder dog and while it may seem obscure, it would definitely fall in the old fag tier
>>
>>383275589
I think it's pretty in line with this place, the description isn't particularity glowing and the games listed are all very well known among anyone who's been playing videogames for more than a matter of months. At most I'd move it to the far left of the middle bracket.
>>
>>383276084
Not exactly sure which one it was, found it over TOR after random browsing, I played it on a sandbox so I'm not really afraid of RAT's.
>>
>>383276545
Virtal Machines are superior to sandboxes.
>>
>>383271142
Those games are a decade old.
>>
>>383276308
Murder Dog NES is a ROM that someone made. I'm not sure if thecatamites was involved but needless to say you can't really get it that easily. There's some footage somewhere on Youtube but that's about it. thecatamites has been making games for a long time so it is possible that he was involved, but I wouldn't know for certain as I'm not anywhere near as versed in these things as someone like Saint would be. Speaking of that, someone add BEALBMO games up there at some point.
>>383276545
Oh wow, yeah, that's the thing, the one you find on TOR is the clone and it's the one that will put you on a watch list because it has some illegal content in it. Furthermore the RAT will bypass any attempt to contain it, including virtual machines and sandboxes. You might be fucked. I'd suggest DELETE FUCKING EVERYTHING right now and play the remake instead.

>>383277301
One would hope not. Don't just download random shit on TOR though. Freenet, much safer, but TOR is likely going to get you shoah'd if you're not careful.

Demon, a roguelike with SMT mechanics.
UnReal World, a roguelike about being a spurdo in binland, although I didn't play that one for a long period of time, it was too boring and the devs are way too stuck up on muh realism.
Dragons Dogma Online is a kind of an obscure MMO, granted you have to use nip VPN to even access the servers.
Heretic, although I dont think that one is particularly obscure, just completely overshadowed by DOOM and Hexen.
FATE was a pretty unknown torchlight clone I believe.
Impossible Creatures was a good RTS, but the most obscure has to be either Dark Planet, which was a starcraft clone with lizardmen instead of the protoss, or Primitive Wars, which was a pretty damn cool and original RTS for its time with quite unique races, especially the weredinosaur mutants.
Am I cool enough?
>>383280516
