Depends on how you define 'less' and 'high quality'. And your point on 'complete' only supports the game. Player Unknown looks very unlikely to pull a Hello Games anytime soon, I'm pretty sure he's in this for real and is going to deliver on his promises to make the game bigger and more polished. The game is it is is a very unique deathmatch experience, gimmicky sure but you can't get it anywhere else. If it's your thing you can easily get your money's worth.

Avoiding betas on principle doesn't seem right to me. If Counter Strike 1.6 were called Counter Strike 0.9 but had all the same features would it not be worth buying ever? If I play a game like Quake,Titanfall, Battlefield, CS or Tribes, I don't have an interest in singleplayer whatsoever.
I play these sort of shooters for the multiplayer aspect.
The only times a singleplayer experience is worth it is when it's the focus of the dev's time.
