Looks good, it will probably end up being bland as fuck, might get it but I do not expect anything out of it.
I used to think MonHun couldn't get any worse with the underwater fights, but then they introduced je suis monte and anime moves and I knew it was all over from there

For what is literally an upscaled 3DS port, it looks pretty decent.

It's funny to think that games like 4U, X and XX would actually look okay, but the ridiculous pixel density of the 3DS ruins any chances of them actually doing so in the end.

When you love MH, you make do with what you get.
That said, I'm overjoyed that the 3DS is finally on its deathbed.
No matter where we go from here, it'll never be this bad again. In terms of controls and visuals at least, gameplay is something else. God dammit the 3DS is an uncomfy piece of junk. If it wasn't for MH and Pokémon I would have never bought one.

I just wish they distanced themselves from all the options that potentially can transform a monster into a ragdoll.
I know you can just "avoid" using them, but everytime I'd get into a lobby on 4U, I'd see 3 other players setting up a trap after a mount, and that would end up with a player getting the KO on the monster, that's practically 10 to 13 seconds of just mashing X until the "ragdoll" dies.
And about the flashy moves, well, I guess they are not really that big of a deal, as long as we don't end up like MHF I think we will be ok. Its just a matter of time

There is no helping it. I'm sure even in MHW it'll be that way.

The only winning move is to avoid 3 or 4 player lobbies and stick to solo or 2 player hunts at most unless you're REALLY tired of farming a given monster and just want to get that last gem already.
With 3+ and especially 4 people it just becomes stupid, as you said. Monsters don't even get to do anything anymore with how hard they get knocked and bounced around like a pinata.
