What many people don’t know was that in the final years of Haze’ development, Free Radical had begun work on another secret project, TimeSplitters 4. Built on the original TimeSplitters engine, as Norgate had alluded to in the last quote.

They had created TimeSplitters 4 in hopes of avoiding the no-game, no-publisher patch they tended to find themselves in, with the team growing, they ran the risk of closure if such an event were to happen again.

They tried, behind closed doors, to sell TimeSplitters 4 to publishers to get the financing to get the project into the market and into players hands. Even though publishers loved the series, they simply didn’t want to take the gamble on the series, which even though had proved popular amongst its fans, failed to show its success in the sales figures.

Free Radical got fucked by Luacas Arts, EA, and Ubisoft pretty much at the same time. LA went through CEOs like underwear while they were making Battlefront 3 and each one had a different idea of what they wanted to do witht he company and lead to payment being witheld. EA didn't want to advertise Timesplitters 4 because it had too much content, and then Ubisoft rushed them with Haze so that game sealed their fate because it's all anyone saw on their resumes instead of all the Timeplitters games and the fact they are mostly made up of the Perfect Dark and Goldeneye devs.

Sorry that came out kind of confusing, I meant that both single player, and multiplayer are god tier and that even without friends the game is amazing because while the main game is pretty short, there's a lot of secrets in it, and there's a challenge mode with tons of challenges that get progressively more difficult as you unlock more, not to mention trying to get platinum on all of them is one of the best time wasters there is.
