What are your thoughts on Peasent's Quest, SBCG4AP, and all other Homestar related vidya?
I thought SBCG4AP was a fucking blast. I loved exploring. The world was perfectly crafted. And the really fucking cool part was, if you bought the game on release from TellTale digitally, after the last episode came out they sent you an email offering you a free physical copy if you'd pay the $2.99 shipping. I've never heard of a game dev doing that. Shame what happened to TTG from TWD onward.I've had a few too many drinks tonight. Just want to say I love you /v/. Hang in there. I'm gonna make it on my own. We're all gonna make it on our own.
I haven't played any of them but watching Two Eggs makes me wonder what the fuck happened to the brothers.
God SBCG4AP was so good. I got that email too. I was so confused I thought it was a scam at first. I still have the physical copy. It came with a reversible cover sleeve. The outside was the actual game art with the real TTG logo and what not, but if you reversed it it was an old Videlectrix cover, done up to look like a 70s atari cover complete with a painted mural of Strong Bad in a 70s hair band wig and all the old graphic styles of the atari games. Fucking love the brothers chaps and I'm glad they're successful.
bubs would definitely be the voice of the wheelchair

2 more eggs is neat. i like that they kept the same humor without "selling out" (which is something they've been very against since the beginning) the homestar image. I just really honestly wish that they would have sold out and made H*R a show or something. If anyone deserves a payoff for their creative genius its TBC.
In short, to give you a recap if you're really wondering what happened, after SBCG4AP they announced a hiatus because they poured so much work into those 5 episodes (between writing and Matt voicing every single character outsize Marzi) and during the hiatus one of them started getting an offer from Disney or whatever company for Yo Gabba Gabba. They worked on a few separate projects, and a few together, but as they started getting busier with paid work Homestar fell to the back burner. Unfortunate but understandable.
They made a few updates in recent years but it's far from frequent. Two more eggs is the closest I think we'll get to consistent Homestar updates until their contract with Disney expires.
Either way I hope they're just doing well financially. If anyone deserves it it's those two motherfuckers. Not a single ad on their site in 20 years, and not only are all of their cartoons free but they've made countless games for 100% free. I'm so blown away by how good and accurate Peasents Quest is to the old Seirra games that I kind of honestly feel guilty for just playing it for free on their site.
>tfw you want to replay SBCG4AP but you've started the first episode so many times and just bailed that it's a slog to get through but you don't want to just jump in at episode 2 either
Such is life as a neet I suppose.
>Now, I'll show you how to make a wet computer out of Stwong Bad's computer>dang, this thing is like, the nevow ending soda...nevow ending soooodaaaa.....aaahhh..ahhh..ahhhhh.....

>DOOM 2 BADGUYS WILL COME FROM MY EARS
How are they still funny as fuck after 20 years? Not even the fucking simpsons could do that with their bizillion dollar budget and unlimited writers.
>>383229935
It was fucking great. I waited for a sequel for so long.
>>383229935but anon it's not a text adventuredungeonman III on the other hand,
is a legitimately good text adventure
>>383230143

Episode 1 was pretty rough, it was my least favorite of the bunch. You should just jump into 2 because things get really great from there onward.
>>383231835
These never fail to make me laugh.
Peasant's Quest alone is better than every Sierra game put together except the Quest for Glory series.
>>383232329
Yeah, I know. I beat all of them. I just enjoy playing episodic games in order, but I always wind up playing 1 episode and moving onto another game, and wanting to replay the full thing when i come back to the series.I think I'm just gonna do a bunch of ritalin tomorrow and force myself to stick to the series and beat the whole thing in one sitting
>>383232970
Same, that and the latest fan costumes episode are fucking hilarious.
B A S E D
>>383233190
Those episodes parodying specific subjects were great, whether it was webcomics, anime, flash cartoons, or edutainment.

I wonder why more people don't parody shitty old atari games. Only other one I can think of off the top of my head was that Limmy's Show bit. BACK WHEN THE GAME WAS THE GAME.
>>383235857
Because they don't sell. Even NES real 8 bit parodies are icy. People want to think they're being retro without being retro. If you release an actual atari type of game no one will buy it.

trauncles is fucking great

they could make a killing on patreon if they tried that, they obviously still have it
