/vg/ isn't a terrible concept but in practice it gets littered with so many self-important pricks who can't stop looking for validation.

That said, I've had genuine fun playing with 4chan before. I'll look for a game I'm interested in and sometimes there's just a good group of pals that I can play and have a good time with, sans excessive memery. If only more threads on 4chan were about getting groups together, like those 4chan party van revivals recently. Minecraft, risk of rain, ace of spades are a decent start but I wish there were some more games like quake/UT, factorio, etc. were played more often.

i was the guildmaster of a /vg/ guild on a dying (now dead) MMORPG a few years ago. i became leader by being one of the only people online at the time when the old leader decided he wanted nothing to do with the guild and quit. he made another guild the next day because i hadn't been on in an hour, everyone told him to fuck off.

The Vidya on the Vanilla WoW Emerald Dream private server. It probably helped that they invited people from /v/, /vg/, and just randoms that wanted to join the guild, but it turned out to be one of the better 4chan guilds I've ever been in. Not to mention planning out some events and having tons of people come along. Really pleasant surprise.

Autism on Scriptcraft was a joy. Reminder that 40 turbo/v/irgins with blues and greens banned together and got a world boss to 20% health, and months after the attempt, no other guild even came close to that.

Name 3 (three) things that make Warframe objectively worse today aside from the 2 I mentioned already (gimping competitive events and removing endless high-level content)

Me and a group of people from /vg/'s /simg/ board would get on DCS (modern combat flight sim) servers and fly the worst planes against try hard virtual squadron faggots flying the best planes in the game.

We would come out on top 9/10 and we caused lots of ass mad through superior performance and bantz.

Basically, he made the recruitment requirements include posting on the official forums, "Warbros #1". The developers caught wind of it and said if he didn't change that, they would ban him. He did and made it very clear in /wfg/ not to do it anymore, and it stopped.

A week later, they banned him anyway. And this was after DERebecca, the community slut, contacted him, discussed ending the practice, and agreed he had done his part to stop it, and said they wouldn't be banning him.

Warbros was the only clan with the 4chan brand autism that allowed them to run the same mission non-stop for days in order to win events. And when we won we were sure to wave our dicks in everyone else's faces. On top of being the number 1 clan in the game, we also pointed out the game's glaring flaws to DE every chance we could.
