Well, what would I do in the game?
Just run around the city and watch them fight?

Copy L4D and make it a co-op survival with safe rooms. All the monster encounters can be random, copy Cloverfield and have smaller spawned bugs/challenges.

I actually started making a game like this a couple years back
The basic idea of it was a mirrors edge style parkour game whilst a giant monster destroys the city around you (or 2 monsters fight and destroy the city around you)
Eventually it was abandoned for another project, but I still think about it to this day

I ran into two big problems however
1. I'm a programmer, not an artist. I can do art, but unless its low poly/minimalist stuff, it just looks no good. I have a feeling for a game like this you'd need some good looking art.
2. Not much replayability, unless you had tonnes of levels and content which I wouldnt be good at doing because again of point 1
