It wasn't so much what Sony did, but what Sony didn't. As in not keep the 3rd parties on the tightest lash possible, literally limit the amount of games their systems get per year, bet on the wrong media twice and make the dumbest decisions in hardware making.

It was just shitposting by picking 3 console with notoriously bad reputations in terms of sales/financial success. I love my WiiU but it's not a top 3 kinda console. The only one one on my list that actually could deserve that spot is the Dreamcast. Though I do maintain that in general struggling consoles produce the better libraries.
Dreamcast is so good because of the ratio of good quality and unique games, if you pick any random title from a list of Dreamcast games chances are you just stumbled onto a really high quality experience, and also quite likely to be unlike something the PS2, Gamecube, or Xbox playerbase was experiencing at that time. A huge array of arcade perfect/best available on console arcade ports. And a cult status that led to homebrew support with fullscale titles being developed for Dreamcast as late as the early 2010s. Dreamcast just has a lot of really cool shit on it.

ps3 has a phenomenal library and pushed the edge with hardware
and the saturn is still enjoyable
