Battery is terrible.
Specs are super mediocre in general, for a home console, and even a portable (average cell phone has better specs for goodness sake).
Little third-party support, of which has only been getting worse as more news floats to the surface.
Has decent exclusives, but none that catch my eye enough to spend the full $60 on, especially seeing as more ports are confirmed and I already got tricked into buying a Wii U once before.
Also refuse to let a company cuck me by making me pay for online, considering how insulting that is to people that actually buy the console and the games in the first place, as well as pay their own Internet bill.

I could go on, but those are the basics in my eyes.

Maybe when the Switch gets an updated and cheaper model like how the DS and 3DS family does I will consider buying it, but if that battery does not change then I just refuse to give it a second thought.

Nah, my cell phone came unlocked, after taxes, no contract, base specs for 337 dollars and even at that price it is on par with the Switch. In fact, my cell phone has more ram than the switch and a better native screen resolution to boot.

Oh, and my phone also has a removable battery, so even if something happens to the battery, all I gotta do is a replace it myself for cheap, instead of sending it off, under a limited warranty to Nintendo.

I bought the wii u for $350 and felt burnt after all the false hype and promises. Also my taste in games have change over the course of three years and i explored other consoles and games. I'm no longer interested in nintendo games anymore and mostly use the wii u now a days for tekken tag 2 or blacks op 2 multiplayer. The switch is only getting anime Japanese games and nintendo games for christ sake. That's not even worth $300 or what ever scalpers are charging imo.

the only games i played a ton of was monster hunter 3 ultimate and rayman legends, both of which arent even nintendo games. smash bros was ok for a bit but i got tired of it, mario kart 8 was really cool so im not gonna hate on it. tried that splatoon demo when it came out and didnt like it at all, borrowed bayonetta 2 from a friend and got pretty far in 1 but got sick of it and then stopped. jumped into 2 just because and didnt care for it either.

i borrowed a decent number of games from friends for wii u and none of them left any lasting impressions on me. nintendo games just dont do shit for me anymore.

Pretty much this. The closest one I've found to what I actually want is the BotW bundle, and consequently, this is also the hardest to find.

Still, I will never end up using that carrying case that they package with it. I never play games on the go, and even if I did, I have an old tablet case that would work for it perfectly. It might be one thing if they bundled the whole thing at a discount, but the fact that they charge full price for each constituent element seems like a ripoff.
