I had a PSU that literally exploded. I was shocked because I thought that it wasn't possible, that the risks of explosion were just an exaggeration. To this day I get nervous when changing anything on my PC, and the #1 priority is always the PSU. I will even settle for a lower quality CPU/GPU to be able to get a higher quality PSU, and power consumption is the stat I pay the most attention when buying anything.
