How do you guys take care of your consoles? I normally just

I had to open my ps4 once to fix something and I would highly suggest using a compressed air can on your consoles. The amount of dust gets bad just sitting under your tv for years.

I have mine stacked right now except for the couple I use. As soon as I get an apartment, I'm going to set it up so my 4k tv sits on a large unit with space for all my seventh and eighth gen consoles and my 37" Trinitron off to the side for the other 20 something consoles. So I can have all the consoles hooked up with a large av switch so I can pick anything off the shelf and play and not be put off by the hassle of hooking something up.
Of course these shelving units will have doors or something so people can't feel quick if they manage to make a celebacy joke.

I have them plugged in at all times, but I never use my TV or my consoles anyway so it doesn't matter. I watch all the shows I want on my PC and play all the games I want on my PC. It's ironic, for all the pushing Xbox and Playstation have done to become all-in-one media centers, PC remains the best and only universal media player.

Its $400 at most consoles are almost disposable . If it breaks "o well" buy a new one. Any working adult should easily have $400.

Clean it every 6 months from dust (opening up and all that jazz) and making sure all hole technology vents a freed.
