Chronicles says that Sargeras killed all of the other titans, and also went out of his way to destroy any planet with a world soul, which is why he's been riding Azeroth's dick for the last 10,000 years.

This is all explained in-game by various NPCs in the know, such as a Naaru, various high profile paladins and other figures, over the course of the class hall/artifact campaigns.

Now come 7.3, it turns out that all of the titans are alive, they're just inexplicably imprisoned, and Argus has a World Soul that Sargeras is keeping alive, despite Argus probably being one of the closest worlds to the Void that we know of.

Also Sargeras's army depends entirely on Argus's world soul to function for some reason, despite us being told that the Titans are the literal, cosmic, antithesis of the Burning Legion, during the Priest and Paladin campaigns.

The chronicle also said that he destroyed their bodies but their spirits/souls where sent to the keepers on Azeroth which as we know failed because only tiny amounts reached the keepers. So they can literally just say Sargeras found their spirits floating in space and imprisoned them.

Without the danger of Varimathras-tier rape dungeons awaiting them should they break rank when they end up back in the nether, if Blizzard wanted to, they could introduce whole groups of random ex-Legion mercenary bands.

And lastly, there's felhounds. Literal demon-fly dogs that eat magic. Beyond being injected with angry magic cocaine that is fel, there's nothing really inherently evil about them. They just get hungry.

It's actually clearly explained what happens to demons in the Kanrethad Green Fire quest line for warlocks in Mists of Pandaria.
Basically, when you go back to Black Temple, there's a bunch of demons there, but they aren't aligned with Sargeras or any of that shit. Instead, they're attracted to the energy that the Reliquary of Souls is giving off. I believe in that questline it's stated that Demons are just attracted to Power or Energy, not bound to one entities will, but a lot of retconning has been happening in the lore since WoD, so I dont know how true that is

Not much else they could've done with him at this point besides kill him off which obviously wouldn't hold any weight considering he just got back from being killed the first time.

WoW is at the point where death is meaningless, and its been there for a while. "Corruption" isn't even an issue as its been shown to be reversible in many cases (Deathwing's eggs, Light Affinity Dreadlords, Garrosh being purged of his physical corruption after being defeated).

The strongest points of WoW stories are often the plot driven sidequests that have very little or nothing at all to do with the overarching storylines that come with each expac. Side characters are easily expendable in their eyes so their loss holds more weight since its a lot less likely they'll return to normal.

That being said, if you're a sick fuck like me that's played since vanilla, then you probably don't care that much about the overall progression of the Warcraft plot to begin with since the major NPCs were hardly relevant past a few end game quest turn ins back then.
