AMDs are all sold out so people who just want a gpu for non-mining purposes are forced to buy nvidia. So yes, nvidia is affected indirectly as well, they're harder to find than usual and the prices are going up.

Back when I was a kid I thought FPS drops were intentional to make some scenes more badass. Probably because it happened when I was playing Mega Man X in the Armadillo level, at the very end where you're fucking shit up in the spiked cart. It slows down and looks great.

I'm only looking for a low-to-mid card, maybe the 1050 Ti if I can get away with it. Problem is the whole rig is a toaster, even if the GPU is a massive step up from what I have.

This is the worst aspect of FO4 for me. One of Beth's top technical priorities should have been to make sure it would run on as wide a range of machines as possible, even on desperately low settings. There are mods on the Nexus specifically for this purpose, but they are crippled by decisions made by Beth to lock in certain critical settings. It's mind-boggling.
