>The year is a little more than halfway over
How's the year been for video games? Consider only things released or confirmed to be coming this year. Announcements are nice, but don't count this year's actual evaluation.
Personally I'm giving it a B+ so far. Too many big games in a diverse array of categories to give it a rating worse than 2016, and we haven't even gotten everything yet.

Better than last year, that's for damn certain.

BOTW made this one of the best years in decades and will be difficult to see a year like this again
Year has been fantastic so far. So many games that I've put over 100 hours into. Big list of fun stuff coming out later this year too.
An actual A.
Think. When was the last time we got a year like this? A decade ago. Maybe.
It just so happens that people on 4chan are incapable of enjoying themselves.

C I guess since I haven´t had time to play the games that look intressting to me as in persona and rime
most games have been sjw trash so far so this I didn´t got much games to play in the first place
C+
But let's acknowledge that the previous years have been a horrible strong of Ds and Fs
Until danganronpa v3 comes out in english I ain't judging shit.
Halfway mark evaluation
Not counting announcements? Soild B
Counting announcements and trailers? S++++ how can other years even compete
The first half of the year has honestly been fantastic, though there doesn't seem to be that much to look forward to in the second half.
B+. Been a damn good year so far, and a lot of the titles I have played have turned out far better then expected or personal favorites. Also a lot of different genres that I missed are starting to come back or get more releases (JRPGs, Platformers).
Assuming the rest of the stuff this year doesn't get delayed or turns out to be shit, I can easily see it being a A.
>people on v enjoy video games for the most part

I'm really bad at this hobby
As a mustard this year has been poor to middling thus far and I don't expect it to get better

if you had to get a console, based on released and coming this year titles, which would you get? just curious?
>>383052141
First half of the year has been fantastic ending with the n sane trilogy. Not sure the second half has much to offer, at least in terms of quality.
>>383061139
Probably the switch because apparently BOTW is better than popping bubble wrap with your one true love
I'd kind of like to play Bloodborne and P5 but I'm hardly in a hurry
>>383059773
These alone make it the best year since at least 2011
i feel like the year has been great and everyone has been satisfied
>great mainstream games
>great niche japan games
>great Flavor of the month stream shit
>great indie games
2nd half looks like it will have fewer titles, but thats okay, my wallet is already bleeding.
