Well, I wanted to buy this game and the switch (have the bundle + splatoon 2 pro controller + the official nintendo carrying case preordered), but this direct wasn't very convincing, to be honest. while it's nice to have a splatfest before release, it means that everyone who was buying the splatoon 2 bundle can't participate. also, while I know the first game had this system too, I just think that time-based rotations might make it uncomfy for me to play.
Also, literally saying that "there's gonna be new content for one year, and splatfests for two years" sounded kinda weird too. I don't think the switch will be dead in two years, so why would they stop with the splatfests "so soon"?
Come on, CS:GO STILL has shitty events and that is a cheap shitty game which is like a thousand years old.
I think I'll just cancel my preorders.
