How do you cope witht he fact you'll never be a kid again and enjoy games as much as you enjoyed these? It makes me wanna kms honestly
I feel the same in complete honesty. I feel like G/S came to me at a point in my life where I was still naive about the fairness of the world where I could freely enjoy life's smaller indulgences like playing one of the best JRPGs ever made alone after school.
don't care because HGSS are better in every way and I'm not a jaded autist blinded by nostalgia.

Even as a kid I enjoyed gen 3 more and I started with gen 1.

I know HGSS are better, but the originals are the games I enjoyed the most playing in my entire life and nothing else will match that feeling, ever. I was still in elementary school, I was innocent, I didn't need female companionship to be happy, or money... I just needed my gameboy and my bros. When you're a kid it takes really little to be happy.

Their art is dogshit compared to the originals.
Reminder that Pokémon games that doesn't have a Japan-related map is garbage.(hint: gen 5+)

Having troubles makes the good stuff so much better, At least in my case they do.

you are a nostalgiafag in denial

Are you me? I also started with GS and think they are the best games. Especially the music is very good. I didnt like HGSS much because even tough the graphics are good, the music was horribly remixed. I almost got the same feeling as GS in FR/LG when you get to the post-game islands.

I don't play games very much anymore, but FFXV gave me the same childlike wonder that Pokemon did ~20 years ago.

Oh no, it's not like I can't just wait for gold and silver to get virutal console releases and pirate it for the 3ds or just emulate them right now on my laptop.
All I really did growing up was play pokemon, missed out on a ton of other great gba games. I'd rather play those instead of replaying gold/silver

HGSS is soulless remaster.
