He's also writing a Big Trouble In Little China comic with John Carpenter.
Why do you all even care so much about this guy

atleast im not Antony Burch
Horizon Zero Dawn did it better.
>>383000845
He's King Cuck, so naturally all his loyal subjects care about him.

I've not seen that before. Fucking incredible.
>yfw still not Anthony Burch

>>383000098
Nintendo killed gaming at this point. BotW might be a good game but it pushed this retarded "open world" and survival meme so far that there is no coming back anymore.
>>383000718
So jack Burton's a women respecting "badass" with a new female sidekick/boss?
>tfw not Anthony Burch
There is always hope.
>this is Nintendo's first open world game
Um, no?
>>383000845
he's like my doppelgänger
>my successful doppelgänger
@383002908
you say that but he looks happier than youll ever be
>>383000098
>tfw I'm not Anthony Burch
I read, maybe, two paragraphs before stopping. His writing reminds me of a hyperactive kid talking way too fast.
>openworldiswaytooflatandmonstersholdyourhandhusbebtjgickishwb!!!
>Nearly everything in Breath of the Wild is optional.
>That, in itself, is revolutionary.
How the fuck does Burch understand this simple idea but /v/ will spend several 400 post threads struggling with it?
>>383004070
He excels at writing a lot while explaining nothing.
>>383005974
>There is an unfortunate philosophy among many game devs that if they worked really hard on something, then the player must see it. That, if the player didn't experience something, then it is inherently wasted work.
>Breath of the Wild proves this philosophy is kinda bullshit.
Is he wrong?
>>383006152
Well he didn't write that article and then just post it on a tree and hope it was discovered.
>>383001573
Made my morning
>>383002513
Wow he actually cares about and likes games.
It's scary just how effective 4chan can be in indoctrinating you into hating somebody when you have little reason to hate them.

Does anybody have that copypasta where "my wifes husband keeps dunking on me"?

He makes good points I'd imagine AAA developers will pay attention to

Web design was a mistake.
>>383006623
Oh wait...
Oh fuck...
I just realized she actually don't do that anymore in SFV.
>>383007405
Damn...never thought of that before. How you gonna sour my morning like that
>>383007237
No issues here. Maybe try optimizing your PC better?
"I like a nonlinear game where you don't level up!"
>worked on Borderlands
Can someone give me a better understanding of how the weapon durability system works?
If the memes are real, and weapons really do break after a few hits and you can't repair them, I think I will pass on the game. This shit really ruined Silent Hill Origins for me.
>>383008518
It works exactly like you said. Find a weapon you like, hit something with it 10-12 times, weapon breaks and is gone forever.
>>383008518
there are shit weapons like tree branches, skeleton arms and rusty weapons that wil break after a few hits and better weapons will last longer
but this doesn't really matter because there are weapons everywhere, you probally will never run dry
>tfw you didnt buy the game because of the crossdressing shit
And now further proof this is LGBTQ's game, I ain't polluting my mind with this shit.
>>383009238
Youre retarded if you think politics wasn't put in this game. Link crossdresses and gets humiliated because it's 2017.
>>383008518
Weapons last for one or two battles on average, it varies. Some early game weapons tend to be improvised and therefore have garbo durability (e.g. tree branches, pitchforks, farming hoes, etc.). Later weapons last longer.
Last hit before breaking is always a critical, which stuns enemies for longer.
Most enemies drop melee weapons, some drop ranged, little are unarmed.
You cannot repair regular weapons, though there are 4 champion weapons that you could repair, though it's kind of a waste of time since you'll probably have a collection of good weapons by that time.
>>383000098
What ethnicity is Burch?
It's always perplexed me, like, Mediterranean?
>>383009463
ok anon
>>383000098
>Nintendo's first open world game
No.
Not to mention open world masters MonolithSoft helped them out with BotW
>The difference between beginning-of-the-game-Link and end-of-the-game-Link has far less to do with the number of heart containers he has or the loot he's got, and far more to do with how you as the player have learned to deal with different enemies types and environmental hazards.
This can be said for every game in existence, and is completely and utterly false for Zelda: Breasts in the Wind.
I should've stopped reading at
>dunked
But I figured it give his first example a shot. Swing and a miss. His sister is an incrediBurch, and he isn't. Oh well.
>>383005702
>revolutionary
There's nothing revolutionary about having a bunch of optional quests. There's a shit ton of optional stuff in the witcher that you literally never have to touch

>>383000098

>>383009748
This. These mentally ill fucks will twist anything till it snaps to convey the point they want to make. How the fuck does having op items has nothing to do with how you deal with stuff in the endgame. It would only be valid in a game where you get every tool right at the start and evidently not 10 times more health by the end.
>>383005702
is buying the game optional?
>>383009767
not the same thing sperglord
>>383000581
Thanks for actually giving a pastebin
It's a small thing, but nobody fucking does it any more.
>true non-linearity
>revolutionary
Somebody get this man a video game
>>383006152
Bullshit because there are entire games with hidden worlds and levels that players will never see. This isn't fucking new.
Breath of the Wild didn't prove anything.
>>383011502
He was already wrong at the first point. Guy should of played it more than 10 hours to see the horrendous scaling you get around the time you pull the master sword.
Whole game you just fluctuate between getting 1 hit killed and getting 3 hit killed, and the enemy health gets ridiculous when you start getting 50 damage weapon drops like candy.
Didn't expect him to get much else right either.
