I loved GTA3 when I was younger but going back to it recently, 3 lacks a lot of the modern comforts. Call it being codified or whatever. No independent camera movement of one. you have to do that weird first person mode to adjust. the inability to restart failed missions is a brutal one. Longer missions that lead you who knows where in the city that, once you fail, you drive all the way back to the start and reenter the mission. I know that makes me sound like a bitch but I had forgotten just how much time I'd spend running back and forth just to restart. Tons of hours. The map is also kind of a pain in the ass but its livable. It's still one fucking hell of a great game, though.

Map was huge, hell, map is respectably big even for today's standards. But gameplay felt worse than VC in every single way.

Cars were less fun to drive. Guns had less oomph. And visually it looks worse than GTA3 even.
