From the trailer it looks like that, sadly. I just thought the premise for the game is really interesting since I'd expect a game to make you feel more the impact of a kaiju rampaging than any movie would.

There's not much you can do that hasn't been done before with big monsters though. At best, it'd be derivative.

Getting the actual licences and including popular figures is a lot more interesting, and has a much wider appeal.

Apparently Disaster Report 4 is still in the making so most of the resources have gone to that.
I don't mind though. The cool thing about the nips is that they don't give a shit about MUH GRAFIX most of the time and just let their imaginations go wild. EDF games have PS2-on-PS4 graphics too but they're always fun to play.

Holy fuck. It was literally about two days ago I watched Cloverfield for the first time with my girlfriend, and in the middle of it I told her I think it would have been much more interesting and engaging were it about a family, or a young couple and the various people they come across in their adventure, trying to make it out of a kaiju attack alive.

This is fucking awesome, except the execution actually looks a little shitty. Also, Cloverfield sucked ass.
